Canoe race on
July 10, 2008
The canoe race from Eudora to De Soto is scheduled to take place as planned this week.
Pre-race registration will be at 9 a.m. at the city of Eudora boat ramp on the Wakarusa River. The race will start at that point at 10 a.m. and travel 12 miles downstream to the De Soto boat ramp on the Kaw north of 79th Street.
The entry fee for a two-
person team is $20, of which $2 will be donated to Friends of the Kaw.
The winning team will receive the registration fees and a traveling trophy.
