The tangible proof came Tuesday. De Soto beat Eudora for the second time this season, this time protecting its home floor, maintaining a buzzer-to-buzzer lead to hold off the Cardinals, 57-48.

- The De Soto United Methodist Church has returned to having the “Parents’ Night Out.” Several couples had asked for it to be held. The youth will do this service for the church on the fourth Friday of every month. They will start again from 6 to 10 p.m., Feb. 22 in Fellowship Hall. They ask you to tell friends, family and neighbors that this ministry has returned.

There will be an open house on the 95th Street land-use plan update from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at De Soto City Hall, 32905 W. 84th St. City staff will be on hand to answer questions about the update of land use maps along the corridor and numerous maps will be available for review.
