Board to have special meeting

The De Soto USD 232 Board of Education will hear results of its scientific survey at a special meeting Jan. 25.
The $13,800 survey conducted by Ken DeSieghardt from DeSieghardt Strategic Communications targeted 400 patrons from the district. The answers to the 80-question survey will give the board some guidance when developing a bond referendum, which it hopes to put before voters in November.
The board also will discuss facility issues such as using capital outlay funds to pay for additions to elementary schools. Action may be taken at the meeting.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. in the District Administrative Building.
