Elvyn Jones, Editor

De Soto editor Elvyn Jones is a seasoned newsman who brings a wealth of knowledge about the people and issues in De Soto and Johnson County.

Elvyn began his career in journalism in 1991 after receiving his degree from Kansas State University. He served as a reporter with the Osawatomie Graphic and as the editor of the Sabetha Herald. Before coming to the De Soto Explorer and the Eudora News, Elvyn worked for two years as the Johnson County government reporter for the Olathe Daily News. Elvyn became reporter at the Explorer in August 2000 and was named editor of The Explorer and the Eudora News in August 2001.

Elvyn lives in Baldwin.

Caleb Regan, Sports editor/reporter

Caleb Regan graduated from Kansas University in December 2006 with a degee in print journalism.

He covered Jayhawk sports for the University Daily Kansas for four semesters while in school.

Caleb grew up in Fort Scott and now lives in Lawrence. He is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and enjoys hunting and fishing.
